Silent Planet | Baltimore, MD

The Superbloom tour made its way to a sold-out show at The Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland on February 12th. The tour included Silent Planet, Thornhill, Aviana, and Johnny Booth.

Silent Planet asked Baltimore locals Nightlife to kick off the night. This soul-punk band took the stage, and the crowd cheered with excitement. The band played some fan favorites, "face2face,” "fallback," and "new low." From the groovy tones to the smooth saxophone, this band knows how to bring energy.

Up next was Aviana. The mysterious masked members walked onto the stage as the intro of "Rage” played. Moments later, vocalist Joel joins the stage, releasing an intense scream. The band's energy is unmatched. At one point, Joel asked the crowd to split and crouch down. On his count, the crowd erupted into complete chaos. They continued their set with "My Worst Enemy" and "Obsession.”

Up next was Johnny Booth, who kicked off their set with fan favorite "2040.” From heavy riffs and crushing melodies, the energy of the crowd and the band was nonstop. They ended their set with "Deepfake," and the vocalist jumped off stage to the barricade to crowdsurf.

All the way from Australia, Thornhill was next to take the stage. They started their set with "Arkangel" and "Viper Room.” These songs showcased the swooning melodies and fusion of raging riffs. They continued their set with groovy sounds, which had the crowd dancing. The vocalist of Johnny Booth joined the stage to sing "Casanova" with the band. They ended their set with "Where We Go When We Die," which set the energy for the last band.

The crowd was ready for Silent Planet to take the stage. The band didn't waste a moment, kicking off their set with "Offworlder." You could hear the crowd singing every word as they played the song. As the band played "Antimatter," you could see the entire room swaying back and forth. This song showed the band's ability to show off the bouncy percussion and gritty fretwork. During a few of the songs, Garrett had the vocalists of Nightlife, Aviana, and Johnny Booth join the stage to help with vocals. As the band continued playing their set, the crowd kept up the energy by constant crowd surfing. The band slowed things down and played "Superbloom." This powerful song showed the fantastic ability of clean vocals and guitar playing Garrett can do. They ended their set with fan favorite "Trilogy," which Andy Cizek joined for vocals. Toward the end of the song, Garrett jumped to the barricade, and you could see everyone fighting to get to the microphone to sing along.
