Aly & AJ | Nashville, TN

On Monday night, the Ryman Auditorium saw fans of all ages fill seats to see Miya Folick and childhood icons Aly & AJ perform on the With Love From Tour.

Miya Folick opened the evening. With soul and vibrato similar to Florence Welch or Ethel Cain, Miya grabbed the audience’s attention before the second verse of “Deadbody.” She also performed her latest single “So Clear” which was well-received, further building the excitement and anticipation around her upcoming album “Roach.” Towards the end of her set, Miya dedicated her song “Cockroach” to Justin Jones and Pearson, the two Tennessee representatives who were voted out and subsequently sworn back in following their protest on gun control.

After opening their set with a bang, it was announced that it was AJ’s 32nd birthday, and later she sang “Happy Birthday” to herself like she used to when she was younger. The sister duo dedicated a handful of songs for the evening: “On The Ride” to the siblings in the crowd and “After Hours” was dedicated to the long work week despite it only being Monday. Nearing the end of the set, Aly took a minute to advocate gun safety and talk about their partnership with Northwell Health for fans to pledge to ask if there are unlocked guns in the home they’re living in or visiting. Before the obligatory encore, the band played “Way of Nature Way of Grace” and brought out Joy Oladokun as a special guest to sing with them. Aly & AJ concluded the night with an encore of “Blue Dress” and “6 Months of Staring Into the Sun.”

The With Love From Tour runs through the rest of April, “With Love From” by Aly & AJ is out now, and Miya’s new album “Roach” comes May 26th.
