Architects | Silver Springs, MD
Architects' headline tour made its way to The Fillmore on May 10th in Silver Spring, MD. While She Sleeps and Of Mice and Men joined them for support.
While She Sleeps took the stage first. They kicked off their set playing "SLEEPS SOCIETY." Right off the bat, the band showed off their pure energy, which never stopped. You could see the crowd loving every minute of their set. Once they played fan favorite "Silence Speak," there was a flood of crowd surfing.
Up next was Of Mice and Men. As soon as they walked on stage, the crowd was going wild. They wasted no time in playing "Obsolete" and "Castaway." They repeatedly told the crowd they wanted to see constant movement, to which the crowd listened. At one point, the drummer stood up and cheered the crowd excitedly. They continued with "Unbreakable" and "O.G Loko." They ended their set with "Second and Sebring," and this sent a storm of crowd surfers.
The last band of the night was Architects. They took the stage, diving straight into "Seeing Red." They had an excellent double LCD setup and took advantage of different designs. You can see how much passion the vocalist Sam has when singing while interacting with the crowd. The set consisted of a few songs off their album, For Those That Wish To Exist. Once the band started playing "Hereafter," you could see the energy of the crowd increase. There was not one person standing still. They slowed things down for "Dead Butterflies" and had the crowd light up the room with their cameras. They picked things back up and played more songs off Holy Hell, which the crowd seemed to resonate with. There were even a few moments where Sam would stop singing, and you just heard the crowd singing. The energy between the crowd and the band was unmatched. They ended their set with "Animals," where you could listen to the soaring vocals and thunderous instruments from all over the venue.
