Four Year Strong | Chicago, IL

Four Year Strong kicked off the second leg of the Enemy of the World anniversary tour with a sold-out show at Chicago’s Bottom Lounge, one of the smallest rooms on the entire tour.

Youth Fountain kicked the night off as the room began to fill up. Playing a set that was the perfect balance of both LPs, they ripped through a 25 minute set, including brand new single “Birthright” off their upcoming deluxe edition of Keepsakes & Reminders, that left the crowd finger pointing and screaming the words back in their faces.

Microwave was up next and the room was filled shoulder to shoulder from the stage to the back wall of the venue. They kept everyone on their toes not sure what was gonna happen next as they played fan-favorite “Vomit” second in the set, way earlier than anyone would have expected.

The hometown boys, Knuckle Puck, were up next and the air was filled with anticipation as the lights went out and the opening notes of “Untitled” kicked in. There wasn’t a second in the whole set that wasn’t filled with circle pits, crowd surfers, and the aggressive finger-pointing to be expected from a great pop-punk show. Close to the end of the set, they played an unreleased song for the sold-out crowd which left everyone excited for the next Knuckle Puck release, whenever that may be.

The stage filled with smoke as Four Year Strong came on and everyone in the crowd squeezed as close together as they could just to be a little bit closer to their favorite band. They started the set off with the album play through, switching it up just a little to play “Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)” to close out the album (instead of its typical place third on the record). After Enemy of the World, they went into an encore of eight of their biggest hits and new songs to close the night out.
