Noah Kahan | Cleveland, OH

For the Stick Season Summer Tour ‘23, Noah Kahan came to visit Jacob’s Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio on June 22nd, bringing Joy Oladokun for support.

The 26 year old Vermont native brought his folky sound to the sold out arena, celebrating his new album Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), which released June 9th of this year. With all 5,000 fans ready to go (not including those who waited on the bridge above the venue and those in their boats behind the venue), Joy Oladokun began their set at about 8PM.

As Joy’s mellow and soothing sounds rang in the audience’s ears, the crowd was seen singing along and dancing slowly, feeling joyful and at ease with the vibe being created. Joy’s most recent album release, Proof of Life, was the star of the show, with songs such as “Keeping The Light On”, “Changes”, and hit “We’re All Gonna Die” being the highlights of the night. As the set came to a close, the crowd cheered. It can be guaranteed that whenever Joy Oladokun returns to Cleveland, a massive welcome will be waiting.

At about 9:15, the intro of “All My Love” began, and the crowd went wild as Noah Kahan made his way on stage. The venue that is Jacob’s Pavilion made the night a memorable one, as the city of Cleveland was seen behind the stage, the lights mirroring back against the water of Lake Erie. As hit after hit played, Kahan’s interaction with his band members and the crowd never stopped, making sure everyone was having the best time that they could. The crowd knew every word to every song, always keeping in time as tears were shed and smiles beamed. Noah Kahan’s set ended with fan favorites “The View Between Villages (Extended)”, “Stick Season”, and “Mess”. As the night came to a close, Kahan made sure to thank everyone for coming out for a memorable night and being a supporter of the music, promising to be back soon.
