Senses Fail | Chicago, IL

On Wednesday, March 21st Senses Fail brought their tour with Reggie & The Full Effect, Have Mercy, and Household to the Chicago House Of Blues.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to see Household’s set due to unforeseeable circumstances but what I was able to hear sounded great and full of energy. It’s definitely a band that I want to check out the next time they’re in the area.

Up next was Have Mercy, which you could tell was a crowd favorite. Starting off strong with “Hell” and keeping the energy going with brief intermissions for some dad jokes, the entire set until closing with “Let’s Talk About Your Hair”. They’re always a fun set to catch and someone that I personally never miss when they’re coming through town.

Reggie and The Full Effect was up next. They’re a band that I had never personally listened to before the night but they definitely made me a fan, as well as everyone else in the room. Their set was full of passion and energy and just captivated everyone in the room and pulled at our heartstrings telling a story about his mother passing away and a song about her.

Lastly, Senses Fail was up. The second their intro started playing, you could feel the energy in the room change. Everyone was screaming and clapping and anxiously watching the stage waiting for them to walk on. They started off strong with Family Tradition, having the entire crowd jump, sing and dance along. Senses Fail is far from a boring band to watch with frontman, Buddy Nielsen, doing kickflips and toe touches on stage.
