Armor For Sleep | Chicago, IL

2023 has been a year full of twentieth anniversaries for some of the best albums, and Armor For Sleep is currently celebrating this milestone for their album Dream to Make Believe, stopping at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL as part of the Dream to Make Believe Tour.

The Spill Canvas took the stage to an already packed room, opening with the song “Staplegunned” and closing with “All Hail the Heartbreaker.” Up next, The Early November played “Everything's Too Cold… But You're So Hot.” The energy picked up when the band started playing “Something That Produces Results.” The Early November closed their set with “I Want to Hear You Sad,” which is the first time this song has been played on tour.

Ben took the stage and played the album intro “Armor For Sleep,” and then the room opened up as the rest of the band came on stage transitioning into “Dream to Make Believe.” Midway through the set, they took a break from the album to play some songs off What to Do When You Are Dead, with “The Truth About Heaven” and “Awkward Last Words” making their way into the setlist. They closed out with the iconic “Car Underwater” as vocalist Ben jumped off stage and into the crowd with everyone screaming the words back at him.
