Better Lovers | Baltimore, MD

The Highly Irresponsible tour arrived at Baltimore Soundstage on November 10th in Baltimore, Maryland. The lineup featured Better Lovers, Full of Hell, Spy, and Cloakroom, celebrating the release of Better Lovers’ new album, Highly Irresponsible.

The night began with Cloakroom, who started their set with “The Pilot.” They filled the venue with sludgy ambient sounds. Their short performance included tracks like “Lost Meaning,” “Light Up,” and “Dissembler.” The crowd was captivated by the band's gritty tones and delicate melodies.

Next up was Spy, who brought a surge of energy to the stage. They wasted no time energizing the crowd with fan favorites “Running Out of Space” and “Koniec.” The audience jumped on stage and dove into the crowd from both sides. With aggressive vocals and fierce riffs, the band’s energy resonated with the crowd, who thrived on the excitement. Spy continued their set with “Carceral Attitude” and “Afraid of Everything.”

Hailing from Ocean City, Maryland, Full of Hell took the stage next. Their lighting set the room ablaze as they launched into “Deluminate.” Vocalist Dylan Walker mesmerized the audience with his intense vocals and eerie growls while simultaneously playing synth, creating a striking performance. The band maintained a relentless pace, moving seamlessly between songs with little interaction with the crowd. The atmosphere was electric as bodies moved in sync with the music. They played tracks like “Transmuting Chemical Burns,” “Reeking Tunnels,” and “Coagulated Bliss.”

Before Better Lovers took the stage, a multi-minute compilation of popular songs featuring the word ‘love’ set the perfect tone for the evening. When Better Lovers finally appeared, they started strong with “Lie Between the Lines,” prompting an immediate frenzy of excitement from the crowd. The band then played several new tracks from their latest album, Highly Irresponsible, with each member energetically moving around the stage and engaging with the audience. Not a single person in the venue stood still. They performed nearly every song they have written, delivering a powerful set that included fan favorites like “God Made Me an Animal” and “30 Under 13,” with the crowd singing along to every word and energetically moving around the room.
