Dying Wish | Philadelphia, PA

The Come and Be Killed tour made its way to Underground Arts in Philadelphia, PA, on November 10th. Roman Candle, Foreign Hands, and Boundaries supported Dying Wish. 

Roman Candle took the stage first! This Las Vegas band started the night playing “Mad Girl’s Love Song” and “Oh, Dreamer.” The crowd was unprepared for the heavy riffs, piercing vocals, and complex drum sequences. The crowd started to get rowdy. This set the energy for the night. 

Up next was Foreign Hands. They walked onto the stage, and the crowd was ready. The first note hit, and the crowd started stage diving. The band played fan favorites “Hesitation Marks” and “Separation Souvenir.” The band told the crowd to get crazy. Between the mosh pit and stage divers, the energy never stopped. The band played their new song, “Conditioned for a Head-On Collision,” and the crowd loved it. 

The lights turned down low, and Boundaries took the stage, playing “My Body Is a Cage.” The band kept encouraging the crowd to get on the stage, to which they listened. From all over the front to the back of the venue, no single person was standing still. As Boundaries started playing “Carve,” you could hear the crowd screaming the lyrics along with them. 

Last to take the stage was Dying Wish. As soon as the band walked on stage, they shouted at the crowd to get ready. They started playing new songs on their new album, Symptoms Of Survival. From visceral vocals to chuggy breakdowns, the crowd feeds off the band's energy. The band's photographer, Gabe Becerra and Tyler Norris from Foreign Hands joined in singing vocals. The band slowed things down to play “Paved in Sorrow.” This ballad showcased Emma Booster's clean harmonic vocals. The band picked up the energy by playing “Cowards Feed, Cowards Bleed” and “Innate Thirst.” As Dying Wish stepped off the stage, the crowd screamed for more. The band walked back on stage to play two encore songs. The crowd's energy continued till the end.
