Joji brought The SMITHEREENS Tour featuring Rei Brown & SavageRealm to Austin, Texas September 17th, 2022.

We kick off the night with SavageRealm to warm the crowd up, running his entire set off an iPod. He had everyone off their feet with songs like "Aggressive Masturbation" and "Gary Come Home." Rei Brown took the stage next with his soothing voice and meaningful lyrics. Both openers complimented Joji perfectly, getting the crowd ready to laugh and cry at the same time while also exposing the audience to very talented up-and-coming artists.

Joji started his set with a grand entrance causing the sold-out crowd to erupt before starting the show off with the perfect opening song, "Sanctuary," which had the crowd singing along to every word. The entire night was the perfect balance of comedy and melancholy songs, Joji even bringing out a clown after playing "Like You Do." Later in the set, he played some deep cuts like "You Suck Charlie" and, my personal favorite, "Worldstar Money," which had not been played in a while. The night ended with "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK" and "Glimpse Of Us," leaving the crowd in the best mood after singing along to their favorite songs with their favorite artists.
