Mariana's Trench - Chicago, IL

As they were coming to the close of their Suspending Gravity Tour, Mariana’s Trench made a stop at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL. Scott Helman took the stage first as a killer opener. This indie pop band got the crowd moving early.

Suddenly a mysterious video started and smoke  covered the stage. Fans from 15 to 30 covered the room. Unsurprisingly, everyone was going wild ready for the band to come out. Finally, Mariana’s Trench came on. They opened with “Eleonora”, the first song off their most recent album Phantoms.

Both bands were very interactive with the crowd. Everyone from the front of the back of the venue was dancing along. As the night went on the fans didn’t die down. This night was definitely one you could never forget. There was not one dull moment throughout the show. I have never seen a stage presence like this before.

Allie Loven

My name is Allie Loven. I am a concert and portrait photographer based out of the Chicagoland area. I started shooting smaller local shows when I was 14 and never quit, with the exception of a two year break because of Covid. Even when shows weren’t happening I never put my camera down. I was always taking portraits with my friends and family. I’ve been working with CHARMMusic since 2017 and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon. My favorite genres of music are rap, hardcore/metalcore, and pop punk, but my listening is not limited to just those. Some of my favorite bands/artists are Movements, Knocked Loose, The 1975, EST Gee, and Juice Wrld. I know, it’s a wild variety. Besides photography, I work with children and will be continuing my schooling to eventually become an elementary age teacher. I am also vegan and adore animals of all kinds (cows are my favorite). I’m very lucky to have had the opportunities that CHARM has brought to me and I am excited for what’s to come. My instagram is @allielovenphotography and my twitter is @dem0ny0uth if you ever want to say hey or wanna create some art together <3
