Wrapping up their headlining tour, Microwave played at Eastside Bowl with Mothe, Delta Sleep, and Oso Oso.

Not letting a broken ankle get them down, Mothe spent every moment of the all-too-short set dancing around the stage with a crutch for support. Halfway through the set, they took a moment to explain that their song “Photobooth” was about a queer relationship and gave a shout out to those in the crowd that identified with it.

When Delta Sleep took the stage, they swapped high energy for tight and clean riffs. Songs like “Late Sprinkle Sprankle” and “The Detail” showed off the band’s talent to be in sync with one another in a way that’s usually only seen in bands that have been together for decades. 

Oso Oso saw the first wave of crowd surfers with their song “Track 1, Side A.” They managed to blend the energy of Mothe’s set with some of the tight technicalities of Delta Sleep to create a nice harmony between the two. The band closed their set with “gb/ol h/nf”, much to the disappointment of the crowd who briefly chanted their demand for an encore.

Finally taking the stage, Microwave opened with their newest single, “Ferrari”, and relied on a projector for their primary lighting. The set was composed of songs from their two full length albums, recent singles, and their split EP with Head North from 2015. With this longer set time, the band was able to play more than their top hits and even pulled out “Thinking of You”, which hadn’t been played since a 2015 tour. The full band ended the night with “Vomit”, where soon after, Nate came back on stage to perform an acoustic rendition of “Something Right”.
