NEFFEX | Portland, OR

NEFFEX wrapped up their Born a Rock Star tour at the Hawthorne Theatre in Portland, Oregon. Led by Bryce Savage, the project had plenty of tracks to choose from as he had released over 100+ songs just in the past year.

Overheard in the crowd as fans awaited the set, many of the hit songs were motivating and perfect for a workout playlist. After DJ Champagne B warmed up the crowd, NEFFEX came to the stage and kicked off the night with “Soldiers.” His wife supported him on stage left and danced the entire night away. The energy from Savage did not waiver as the night went on.

Halfway through the set, he took a short pause before riffing on the guitar, asking the crowd if they were ready for round two. After performing “Pro,” Savage chatted about how hard it was to hear himself over the crowd. As a result, everyone in attendance received a special gift, a one-night-only link that allowed them to download an unreleased project. He then went on to strategize how to stage dive since the pit was wider than expected. He shared some background about the inspiration for a few songs, his journey, and difficult times, proving that each song is very meaningful to him.

The songs were never too long, making it easy to fly through nearly thirty tracks, and the fans kept up knowing nearly every word. NEFFEX was interactive with the crowd, inviting them to participate throughout the night. He concluded the night with “Fight Back,” contributing to the likelihood that fans had a hard time coming down from the energetic and motivating set.

After being told not to pursue another form of art, she turned to photography at a young age. Christina was always the friend taking photos and eventually turned it into a creative outlet while enhancing her self-esteem and body image. When she’s not at a show she’s either spending time with her significant other and pups, slinging spreadsheets at her 9-5, or taking photos for local business owners, elevating their brands. Christina is a recovering perfectionist who is optimistic, compassionate, and has a dry sense of humor (sending TikTok’s is a love language).
