The Aces | Chicago, IL

The Aces brought the I’ve Loved You For So Long World Tour to House of Blues in Chicago, IL, on October 17th.

Opening the night up was Carol Ades. Her 40-minute set felt as if it flew by as she shared stories between songs, making the crowd feel like they were watching their lifelong best friend on stage.

Seeing a tour full of exclusively women on stage is so uncommon these days, but that's exactly what this night was. Even The Aces’ pre-show playlist was filled with strong female & non-male artists that everyone in the room knew and loved - such as Halsey, Hillary Duff, Paramore, and Charli XCX. This immediately got the energy up throughout the room with groups of fans singing along everywhere you looked. Finally, the room went dark, the band’s logo was projected onto the backdrop as The Aces walked on stage and immediately kicked the set off with “Always Get This Way.” Their 18-track setlist consisted of 10 of the 11 tracks from their June 2023 release, I’ve Loved You For So Long, while still including the hits that everyone always comes back to such as “Daydream,” and “My Phone Is Trying to Kill Me” from Under My Influence.

Kaitlyn Ciccotelli

Hey, I’m Kaitlyn! I’m a full-time photographer and talent buyer here in Chicago! I started doing photography when I was 8 years old and have been a full-time photographer with a focus on live music, weddings & couples since 2017!

I started CHARM back in 2017 as a way for my friends to cover bigger shows and it’s just grown like a weed since then. After a brief covid-related hiatus, Erin joined me in bringing it back & I couldn’t be more excited to be back with such an incredible team.
