Yellowcard | Baltimore, MD

The sweat was thick, but the nostalgia was thicker as bands took the stage on the first night of what is now being coined as the “elder emo tour.” Fans of all ages indulged in new music and the deep cuts from our teen years that turned out to be anything but a phase.

Opening with “Tear Me to Pieces”, Story of the Year brought a different kind of heat to the stage. Vocalist Dan Marsala expressed his gratitude for people showing up early to move and groove while maintaining a magnetic energy the entire set. They closed things up with a huge fan favorite “Until the Day I Die”, only increasing the excitement for the upcoming headliner.

The pavilion filled with energy and love as Yellowcard took the stage on their first headline tour since 2017. The crowd went crazy as they saw many songs that haven’t been performed since then, like “Five Becomes Four”, “Fighting”, and “Hang You Up” featuring Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade. With stunning visuals creating the perfect atmosphere, your younger self will thank you for catching this tour. They closed the night with none other than “Ocean Avenue while we celebrated the 20th birthday of this coveted album.
