Justin Courtney Pierre | Chicago, IL
On Thursday, November 1st, Justin Courtney Pierre took the stage for the first time as a solo act at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL. Fresh off the release of his debut solo record In the Drink, Pierre was very honest and open with the crowd about his nerves and anxiety as he began a new chapter in his musical career right in front of hundreds of people.
Mayday Parade | Milwaukee, WI
There are very few things cooler than getting to go see one of your favorite bands in concert... That is until you're getting to go see them in concert, photograph them and write about how great they are. Mayday Parade is a band that I grew up listening to and seeing in concert honestly more times than I can count on my hands at this point between Warped Tour, Riot Fest, support tours, and headlining tours, etc. So I’m sure you could guess my excitement getting to document their Welcome To Sunnyland Tour when it made a stop at the Rave in Milwaukee, WI.
Save Face & Jetty Bones | Orlando, FL
Anyone that has ever asked me about music will hear me rave about Save Face until my face is blue and even recommend what order they should listen in order to get the best experience possible (for the record it’s Merci, Folly, and then Folly on the Rocks). They’re great on record, they’re phenomenal live, and they are genuinely good people that love Spongebob in its purest form.
The Devil Wears Prada | Iowa City, IA
An exciting tour coming through one of the country’s most popular college towns, The Devil Wears Prada in Iowa City. It was definitely an eventful Friday night at the University of Iowa as people came out to see The Devil Wears Prada perform With Roots Above and Branches Below in full. The heavy amount of rain coming through the area that day slowed the traveling process from Chicago, which led to missing ‘68 and Fit For A King’s sets sadly. However, the timing was close enough to get there just in time for TDWP.
Bullet For My Valentine, We Came As Romans & Bad Omens - Detroit, MI.
On October 7th, Bullet For My Valentine tore it down at The Fillmore in Detroit along with We Came As Romans and Bad Omens.
Beartooth | Chicago, IL
As another amazing tour heads for Chicago, many Chicagoans were making their way downtown to get there on time. With the battle of traffic, weather, and other commuters, getting to the House of Blues for The Disease Tour on time almost felt impossible. But when it feels like the show might start without you, the burst of energy to sprint to the venue can occur, and it did.
Counterparts | Chicago, IL
With the rain pouring down, cars bumper to bumper, and doors being at 6 P.M. It was another day of getting through the almighty Chicago traffic to attend The Private Room Tour at Bottom Lounge. With a diverse line up of Varials, Have Mercy, Being As An Ocean, and Counterparts it was nearly a guarantee to leave the show with either tears or a smile.
