Corook | Nashville, TN

Current Nashville-dweller Corook played to a sold out crowd at The Blue Room as part of their Serious Person Tour. People of all ages donned replicas of the artist’s iconic frog hat and held tight to their kazoos as they watched the fuzzy orange piano with googly eyes appear on stage.

An ominous disembodied voice announced Corook’s arrival which led into “serious person”. The night continued with the same thoughtful notes and lyrics that made every song feel like a universal experience, whether it’s a religious ego death like in “idk god” or just wondering who gets to keep the dog after a hypothetical break up like in “the dog”. Halfway through the set, there was a sponsored break from the same disembodied voice, promoting the merch available at the table outside, and finally, the most anticipated song of the set finally began. “if i were a fish” caught on like wildfire thanks to TikTok and was sung so loudly by the audience that it could be heard from outside of the venue tucked away behind the bar. The night came to a close with an encore of “alien”, a new song off of the recently released serious person (part 2) EP.

The serious person (part 2) EP is out now and Corook’s US tour continues through the middle of October.
