Dying Fetus | Baltimore, MD

The Make Them Beg for Death tour made its final stop at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on November 18th. The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Creeping Death, and Gates to Hell supported Dying Fetus.

Gates to Hell took the stage first. They kicked off the night by playing fan favorites “Blood Lust” and “Dissimulation.” This band knows how to combine heavy riffs and deathcore sounds. The crowd started a mosh pit, and the band asked the crowd for more. They started crowd surfing and constant head banging. This set the energy for the night.

Up next was Creeping Death. The band walked on stage, telling the crowd to get ready. They started their set with “Boundless Domain” and ended with “The Common Breed.” Even though their set was seven minutes long, it was full of powerful vocals, intense drumming, and fast riffs. The crowd picked up the circle pits and the moshing.

The crowd packed at the barricade just as Despised Icon took the stage. The band started their set with “Furtive Monologue.” The band’s dual vocalists really know how to hype the crowd up and keep them riled up between every breakdown, blast beat, and melodic riff. Once Despised Icon started playing fan favorite “MVP,” the crowd took charge. There were more bodies crowd surfing than security could handle.

The Acacia Strain took the stage next. They went straight into playing “Is This Really Happening?” and “Dr Doom.” The band's vocalist, Vincent Bennet, is constantly charging back and forth on the stage while channeling intense vocals. The crowd was ready. He demanded that the crowd get to the stage. They played fan favorites “Fresh Bones,” “Beast,” and “The Hills Have Eyes.” Their set was full of relentless breakdowns, and water sprayed into the crowd. The crowd was going crazy, and not one person was standing still. This set the tone for the last band.

It was time for the legendary Dying Fetus to take the stage. Hailing from Maryland, this show was special for the band. As soon as the band walked on stage, the chaos began. The three-piece band wasted no time as they kicked off their set with “Fixated on Devastation” and went straight into “Compulsion for Cruelty.” The crowd went wild. The band knew how to keep the crowd engaged with the darkest and most heavy songs they played. Full of ruthless sounds and powerful vocals, the band continued their set with fan favorites “In the Trenches” and “Wrong One to Fuck With.” Dying Fetus proved they have mastered their craft by leaving the crowd wanting more.
