Gold Steps "That Ain't It" Review

Milwaukee-based band Gold Steps’ new EP That Ain’t It offers charm on a silver platter from sweet melodies and wholehearted words to punchy instrumentals and zestful lyrics. Vocalist Liz Mauritz is incredibly influenced by the work of pop queen Taylor Swift and has done an unbelievable job intertwining her own version of this into the duration of the album. The track ‘Gatsbyexemplifies this in every single detail of the song and it does not disappoint.

A perfect balance of heartfelt sentiment and spitfire, this release shows a blend of old and what’s to come for the band. Infused with love and a little bit of ‘Petty’, That Ain’t It will be available on all streaming platforms on 10/7.  Gold Steps is currently on a full US tour with SayWeCanFly and Johnnie Guilbert until 10/30 and will be performing in Brooklyn, NY on the day of the album release.
