Just Friends | Atlanta, GA

On October 4th, Just Friends made a stop in Atlanta, Georgia in celebration of their new album Gusher, with support from Young Culture, Save Face, and Glimmers. Just Friends made the Wednesday night show feel like a Friday, getting everyone up and dancing the night away.

Glimmers started the night, bringing their pop rock vibes alive. The Atlanta locals definitely brought the heat with their cover of “Bad Romance”, having the crowd jumping and singing. As Glimmers finished their set, Save Face took over. Starting off with “Bad”, a mosh pit immediately ensued, having the crowd pumped up for every song. Ending with hit song “Another Kill For The Highlight Reel”, the New Jersey rock band showed off their glamor and talent throughout their set.

Young Culture began their set with a bang, starting off with “Not in Love”, the first song off their You Had To Be There record from 2022. The pop-punk band had an amazing set, always staying engaged with the crowd. Their latest single, “Jesus”, went over especially well with the crowd.

Just Friends appeared on stage around 9:30 PM to finish the night off strong. One of the most unorthodox shows I have seen, and one of the best. Just Friends decided to let the crowd pick the setlist, taking turns picking the raised hands in the crowd song after song. Songs such as “Better 2 Be Around”, “I Miss You, Bitch”, and “Life I’m Living In”, were just a few of the songs that had the crowd cheering and dancing. During the show, someone even yelled for “Basic”, and their request was granted as Just Friends played the song for the first time on the tour. The evening was one of laughter, dance, and joy, making for one memorable night.

Kate Kastelic

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I have always had a passion for live music photography. Since moving to Atlanta after high school to pursue college softball, it opened up a door into the live underground music scene. Since then, I have worked with a number of underground bands and have had opportunities to shoot festivals and bigger artists. I look forward to working with the amazing team that CHARMMusic Magazine has to offer, and can’t wait to share what I see through my lens.
