K.Flay | Chicago, IL

Chop Shop Chicago hosted two nights of K.Flay on her Mono Live In Stereo Tour. On March 15th (the first night of the tour, Cam Kahin kicked off the night with “Compass” and “What Are You Waiting For”. Mid-set they were trying to bring up the energy by telling the crowd they “have yet to see one pit this whole tour.” Cam Kahin also played “Old Shoes,” a brand new song that was released the same day, and closed out with “Nicotine.”

K.Flay came out swinging as she took the stage in her hometown in full boxing attire, starting off with “Are You Serious?” and “Raw Raw.” There was no shortage of energy, as the entire sold-out crowd sang every single word back at her while K.Flay ran around the stage. She also displayed how much inclusivity there is at her shows as she had an ASL Interpreter on stage. Mid-set she played “TGIF” and “Spaghetti,” and then announced that she had an extra special surprise as she brought out two fans on stage for a proposal. After a quick “yes,” K.Flay hugged them and played the song they requested, “ Maybe There’s A Way.” K.Flay closed out the long set with “High Enough” and “Perfectly Alone.”
