Maggie Rogers | Chicago, IL

There are so many things you could do on a chilly Friday night in Chicago. For 5000 Maggie Rogers fans, the place to be was the sold-out date of The Feral Joy Tour at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. Fans stood in a line wrapped around the block (some for over six hours) for a chance to be on the barricade for Rogers’ first show in Chicago since 2019.

From the start of the first song, Maggie brought the energy and it never slowed down, even during more stripped back acoustic songs. The 19-song setlist consisted mostly of tracks from her latest album Surrender, but still included throwbacks from previous releases & fan favorites, including her track “New Song” which featured her tour opener, Del Water Gap.

Overall, this was a night full of lots of dancing, screaming (Maggie tweeted after the show that the crowd volume monitored at 120 dB - incredibly loud), and some of the best energy you’ve ever felt in a room.

Hey, I’m Kaitlyn! I’m a full-time photographer and talent buyer here in Chicago! I started doing photography when I was 8 years old and have been a full-time photographer with a focus on live music, weddings & couples since 2017!

I started CHARM back in 2017 as a way for my friends to cover bigger shows and it’s just grown like a weed since then. After a brief covid-related hiatus, Erin joined me in bringing it back & I couldn’t be more excited to be back with such an incredible team.
